Robust aluminum chassis with subtle gaming aesthetics

While most TUXEDOs follow a primarily understated and unobtrusive design language, the Sirius 16 flies on a different orbit: Its edgy, futuristic design appeals to Linux gamers who want to stand out from the crowd, but still prefer a discreet and sleek gamer look.

It's not just the inner values that matter: According to this concept, the 2.2 cm slim 16.1-inch laptop is dressed in a robust and haptically appealing all-aluminum chassis that weighs 2.3 kg, which is below average for a notebook of this size and performance class. The »gunmetal grey« color and the slightly roughened metal surfaces make the enclosure mostly insensitive to fingerprints.

The metal arc hinges are not only eye-catching, but also keep the display lid firmly in place. For RGB ambient lighting, the Sirius 16 comes with a color-adjustable light bar on the front edge as well as a per-key RGB-backlit keyboard, which features pleasantly colorful lighting in 10 brightness settings and numerous stylish animations, which will raise many gamers' pulse.

The typing experience on the membrane keyboard is clicky responsive yet quiet with a clearly feelable actuation point. The full-size arrow keys are slightly offset from the rest of the keyboard to improve the convenient navigation in games and productivity apps, while the 4-column numeric numpad ensures faster digit inputs.

At the upper edge of the screen sits the Full HD (1080p) webcam, which can be covered by a mechanical privacy shutter.

Highly efficient and powerful: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS

The TUXEDO Sirius 16 - Gen5 relies on the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, featuring the latest, highly efficient Zen 4 architecture. The "HS" series of the Ryzen proecessor lineup stands for an optimum balance of performance and power efficiency.

The AMD eight-core CPU can handle up to 16 processing tasks, so-called "threads", simultaneously and takes on them with clock speeds of up to 5.1 GHz.

Thanks to its highly modern 4 nm CPU core technology, the upper-class processor achieves great energy efficiency and performance-per-watt, which allows power-saving operation on the one hand, but also high computing speed when needed on the other.

While AMD specifies the Ryzen 7 8845HS with a standard TDP of up to 54 watts, the Sirius 16 pushes it to up to 80 watts under CPU-only load. When the Radeon RX 7600M XT is utilized at the same time ("cross loading"), the TDP is limited to the standard TDP of 54 watts to provide far more than enough performance for gaming but also to ensure sufficient cooling for the AMD dGPU.

New in the Ryzen 7 8845HS is the integration of its significantly faster Ryzen AI engine, which is optimized for running local AI calculations particularly efficiently, e.g. for AI image generation, text generation or code completion and much more.

Rare yet fast graphics star in the sky:
AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT

The Sirius 16 is an absolute novelty in TUXEDO's product range as well as in the Linux cosmos in general when it comes to the choice of graphics processors: As rarely as AMD GPUs can generally be found in laptops, the TUXEDO Sirius 16 is unique as the first Linux-optimized notebook with a dedicated AMD graphics card.

For its maiden flight, the gaming notebook has AMD's second-fastest mobile GPU on board, the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT.

The AMD graphics processor is based on the modern RDNA 3 architecture, comes with 32 computing units with a clock speed of up to 2300 MHz and includes 8 GB of GDDR6 graphics memory. Depending on the simultaneous CPU load, the TGP (Total Graphics Power) lies between 120 and 130 watts.

In terms of performance, the Radeon RX 7600M XT is on par with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, which is specified with a similar TGP of 115 watts and equally equipped with 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM, placing it in the upper mid-range of dedicated notebook graphics cards.

for work & play

For Linux gaming in razor-sharp image quality and on a pleasantly large screen between standard formats, like 15.6 and 17.3-inch, the TUXEDO Sirius 16 is equipped with a 16.1-inch display in WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels).

While the 35.6 x 20 cm monitor provides a galactically good balance between a large screen surface and a conveniently portable chassis design, the 2560 x 1440 pixel matrix produces a sharp, high-resolution reproduction of photos, videos, text and games. Speaking of gaming: the 165 Hz refresh rate ensures quick response times in the heat of battle, even in very fast, competitive titles.

In combination with the fully covered sRGB color gamut and a panel brightness of over 300 nits, this results in a sharp and vibrant image for multimedia, gaming and content creation.

80 Wh battery and USB-C charging

For extraterrestrial expeditions, the TUXEDO Sirius 16 is equipped with an internally screwed 80 Wh battery, which supplies the Linux notebook with power for around 5-6 hours in everyday use, such as web surfing, emails or video playback, with reduced screen brightness.

When the battery is running low, the Sirius 16 can be charged via USB-C through a handy 100 watts USB-C power supply (20V / 5A), if maximum portability is needed. When the full performance of the CPU and/or GPU is required, the Linux gaming laptop thirsts for its also fairly compact and lightweight 230-watt power supply.

For an energy-saving operation, we recommend our specially tuned power profiles as well as the manual CPU power limit control in our inhouse-developed TUXEDO Control Center, which comes pre-installed on your TUXEDO laptop.

For stationary use plugged into a wall outlet, battery charging profiles in the UEFI let you set charging limits for increasing your battery's life span.

Up to 8 TB SSD and 96(!) GB DDR5-5600 RAM

After removing the Linux laptop's aluminum bottom panel, which is of course covered by the warranty, you get easy access to two upgradable SO-DIMM RAM modules as well as two M.2 SSD slots for up to 8 Terabyte storage with PCIe 4.0 high-speed connection.

After the TUXEDO Polaris 15 and Stellaris 16, the TUXEDO Sirius 16 is our third AMD sibling that comes with new, non-binary DDR5-5600 RAM. Due to the lower power consumption compared to the competition from Intel, the Ryzen 7 8845HS thermally allows the installation of two 48 GB SO-DIMM modules as upgrade to the standard 32 GB modules for a total capacity of up to 96 GB!

This way, you can access your data conveniently and securely (encrypted and hosted in compliance with german data protection regulations) at any time from anywhere and with any Internet-capable laptop, PC or smartphone.

USB 4.0, HDMI 2.1 and Wi-Fi 6E

The binary star doesn't do things by halves when it comes to connectivity either and intelligently distributes its ports across the chassis according to the frequency of use:

While frequently used ports such as USB-A and the headphone / microphone jack are easily accessible on the sides, less often used interfaces to monitors, the RJ45 LAN port and the power connector are located at the rear of the case to route their cables away to the back side for a non-distracting cable management.

Two full-featured USB-C ports (1x USB 4.0 Gen3x2, 1x USB 3.2 Gen2) with DisplayPort 1.4 each and HDMI 2.1 are available for connecting up to three external monitors. In conjunction with the internal notebook display, four screens can be driven simultanously by the AMD Linux gaming laptop.

The Sirius 16 offers a total of 4x USB (2x USB-C, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen2) for wired data exchange or for charging the notebook via an ultra compact USB-C travel power supply (min. 20V / 5A), while wireless data are transfered via the new, super fast Wi-Fi 6E standard and Bluetooth 5.2.
