Ten years in the Tux
Company anniversary Thaddäus

Our employee Thaddäus had already given an interview last year when it came to the employee presentation. Here you could already gain an insight into what makes him tick. Now he has had his company anniversary and there have also been other new events.

Thaddäus, you have been with TUXEDO for 10 years now - how does that feel?

It's incredible to look back and see how everything has evolved. It also makes me a bit proud to see how the company has changed and how many places you have been able to contribute to and still can.

What has happened and changed for you in the last 10 years? Professionally/privately?

I had completed an apprenticeship as a programmer, but at TUXEDO I first went into another area after my apprenticeship and was then mainly in device support. There, for example, I serviced and installed devices and provided general Linux support. In the end, I was involved in various areas and I am currently working in development as a programmer in the backend of our shop system. Originally, I was a Linux newcomer, but in the last 10 years I have also changed everything privately to Linux. Also when it comes to gaming. And don't forget: I've been a father of a little boy since April and spend my free time with.

What do you do as a developer?

The work is varied: I develop new features for the backend of our shop system and eliminate errors and inconsistencies. I also work on usability issues for our support and back office team and improve the performance of the backend. Other than that I optimise the database. And unfortunately, the generally popular topic of "cleaning up the code" does not pass me by either.

What are the plans for yourself and TUXEDO for at least another 10 years?

I don't really have any concrete plans. Curiosity and anticipation outweigh everything else that will change and develop at TUXEDO. However, I have resolved to perfect our backend system. You need goals in life.
