Ultra portable yet solid chassis in an unobtrusive business look

Truely ultra portable: With a weight of just under 1.4 kg and extremely compact dimensions of 313 x 222 x 18 mm, the Linux business laptop is the ideal mobile companion for users who are mostly on the go and always want to have their ultra thin and slim workhorse with them.

The unobtrusively looking chassis in a subtle matte black color relies on aluminum on the outer surfaces (display lid and bottom panel) which is now less prone for fingerprints for safe transportation, while the base unit (palm rests and keyboard area) is made of solid plastics which contributes to the very low total weight.

Despite its extremely slim and compact build, the Pulse 14 optimally utilizes the constrained space for an above average and quiet cooling solution:

While many ultra thin competitors cut costs with single-fan cooling and 1 or 2 heatpipes, the TUXEDO Pulse 14 features two relatively big 45 mm fans and 3 heatpipes in order to ensure full performance with up to 54 watts and very pleasantly quiet fan noise!

Highly efficient and powerful:
AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS

The TUXEDO Pulse 14 relies on the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS with the latest, highly efficient Zen 4 architecture. The "HS" series of the Ryzen proecessor lineup stands for an optimum balance of performance and power efficiency.

The AMD eight-core CPU can handle up to 16 processing tasks, so-called "threads", simultaneously and takes on them with clock speeds of up to 5.1 GHz.

Thanks to its highly modern 4 nm CPU core technology, the upper-class processor achieves great energy efficiency and performance-per-watt, which allows power-saving operation on the one hand, but also high computing speed with a thermal design power (TDP) of up to 54 watts on the other.

New in the Ryzen 7 8845HS is the integration of its significantly faster Ryzen AI engine, which is optimized for running local AI calculations particularly efficiently, e.g. for AI image generation, text generation or code completion and much more.

Fast yet power-saving graphics:
AMD Radeon 780M

For graphics rendering and even some light gaming in reduced quality settings, the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS integrates its Radeon 780M graphics unit.

Equipped with 12 GPU cores and a graphics card frequency of up to 2700 MHz, the power-saving iGPU is suited best - depending on the title - for gaming in medium to high detail settings and resolutions such as 720p or 1080p.

In the TUXEDO Pulse 14 the Radeon 780M integrated graphics benefits from the particularly power-efficient, ultra fast LPDDR5X-6400 RAM, which on average boosts performance by around 10% compared to socketed SODIMM DDR5-4800 system memory, which can be found in the Intel-based InfinityBook Pro 14.

The small graphics processor also cuts a fine figure outside of gaming: The integrated video decoder works so efficiently that the iGPU load is mostly less than 5% during 4K video streaming, which is reflected in longer battery runtimes. For comparison: Intel's integrated Iris Xe graphics show a utilization of around 45% in the same workload.

High-resolution 16:10 3K display with 100% sRGB and 120 Hz

For razor-sharp image quality, the TUXEDO Pulse 14 is equipped with a 14-inch LTPS display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 243 ppi, which makes pixels become nearly invisible even from very close viewing distances.

Together with full sRGB color space coverage, the panel is greatly suited for semi-professional photo editing and multimedia use, while the refresh rate of 120 Hz (alternatively: 60 Hz) ensures butter smooth transitions and animations.

While the panel's modern 16:10 aspect ratio offers more vertical screen space over the usual 16:9 format, the 180° tiltable hinge delivers maximum flexibility for the use even on steep laptop stands.

USB-C charging and 60 Wh battery

The two high-efficiency components, the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS and the Low Power DDR5-6400 RAM, push the small Linux laptop's internally screwed 60 Wh battery to reach runtimes of around 8 to 9 hours with medium display brightness and video streaming via WiFi and 10 to 11 hours with local video playback (WiFi and Bluetooth off).

To meet the wishes of many of our customers, the TUXEDO Pulse 14 relies solely on the Power Delivery DC-In standard for charging the Linux laptop via an optionally available, ultra compact 100 watt USB-C power supply. Optional because it can be deselected in the product configurator below to save costs if customers already have a suitable USB-C charger (min. 20V / 5A).

For an energy-saving operation, we recommend our specially tuned power profiles as well with CPU power limit control in our inhouse-developed TUXEDO Control Center, which comes pre-installed on your TUXEDO laptop.

For stationary use plugged into a wall outlet, battery charge control ("Flexicharger") via the UEFI lets you define charge limits for increasing your battery's life span.

High-speed LPDDR5X-6400 RAM and up to 8 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage

The Pulse 14 - Gen4 comes with high-speed storage options both for RAM and SSD:

As first TUXEDO ever, the Pulse 14 features highly efficient Low-Power DDR5X memory for optimal low power draw and great performance, which mostly boosts the integrated Radeon 780M graphics.

Just like the CPU, the LPDDRX RAM is also soldered onto the motherboard for best possible efficiency due to shorter signal paths and the elimination of electrical resistances caused by mechanical SODIMM connectors. Thus, the low voltage RAM impresses with a very high speed of up to 6400 Mbps on the one hand and very low low-load and idle power consumption on the other.

The TUXEDO Pulse 14 is permanently configured with 32 GB LPDDR5X-6400 system memory in order to offer a future-proof RAM configuration appropriate to the Linux ultrabook's overall performance class and typical usage profile.

Another advantage of LPDDR RAM is its space-saving design, which creates room in the ultra compact chassis not only for the performant and quiet cooling system but also for 2x upgradeable M.2 SSDs for up to 8 terabytes ultra fast PCIe 4.0 storage.

For even more storage space, you get 10 GB myTUXEDO cloud storage for free with every TUXEDO laptop or PC. This way, you can access your data conveniently and securely (encrypted and hosted in compliance with german data protection regulations) at any time from anywhere and with any Internet-capable laptop, PC or smartphone.

4x USB, HDMI and 2x USB-C DisplayPort

To meet the wishes of many of our customers, the TUXEDO Pulse 14 relies solely on the Power Delivery DC-In standard for charging the Linux laptop via an optionally available, ultra compact 100 watt USB-C power supply.

Two USB-C 3.2 Gen2×1 ports, which also support DisplayPort 1.4 for connecting two monitors natively, are available for charging the laptop. Together with the HDMI 2.0 port the Pulse 14 allows to drive up to 3 external displays.

The ports selection is completed by 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen1, a microSD card reader and the combined 2-in-1 audio jack.
