Support for Formula Student team from Augsburg

The interdisciplinary „Formula Student“ project of the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences was able to celebrate great successes at this year's „Formula Student“ Germany and won the title "FSG Driverless Cup Winner 2022". Now, for the first time since 2017/18, with the Augsburg-based hardware company TUXEDO Computers there is a main sponsor. On November 11, 2022, both parties met over cake and non-alcoholic sparkling wine to sign the contract and celebrate the upcoming collaboration.

New main sponsor since 2017/2018

Both sides are hoping for promising things from this cooperation: "With TUXEDO Computers as our new main sponsor, completely new doors will open for us. Not only will we have more resources at our disposal to tackle our mission of defending the title for 2022/23. A main sponsor is a big milestone for us, as we unfortunately did not have such a cooperation in the last few years. With TUXEDO Computers, a company that can help us enormously with its know-how in this year's season is supporting us." (Elena Zehnder, 1st board member of StarkStrom Augsburg e.V.) The fact that the new main sponsor is a company from Augsburg, which has its headquarters only one kilometer away from the workshop of the StarkStrom team, "makes the cooperation all the better, since the biggest supporter of the project is virtually a neighbor," says Zehnder.

Locals help locals

TUXEDO Computers Managing Director Herbert Feiler is also looking forward to the joint future of this cooperation: "We are very excited about the upcoming partnership, which will take place in our direct neighborhood. As a company based in Augsburg, it is particularly important for us to be able to support regional teams. From there it was absolutely clear for us that we want to support Team StarkStrom for the new Formula Student season 2022/2023 with words and deeds."
